My Baby Turns 5!

I cannot believe this, my little girl is 5!! I cried the night before she turned 5 realizing then that it would be the last time she was 4 years old! I didn't know it would effect me that much. She asked me why I was crying and I told her it was because she was growing up so fast. Ellie told me that she had to get bigger and turn 5, that she had to grow and learn new things. Then when she was on her way to bed that night she turned around and said," Mommy, thank you for always having kindness in your heart!" Out of the mouth of babes!!
We had a big princess themed party for her and had so much fun! Princess Jasmine came and all of the little girls dressed up like princesses. Very cute!! The little boys did not want anything to do with Princess Jasmine, which was too funny! They would run away from her!
I cherish all of the special moments with my little ones. I wish they could stay little forever! Here I go again... crying.. but thankful to watch them grow healthy and strong and beautiful!

Time Flies!

Here is a photo that I took of my daughter Ellie when she was just turning 1 year old. We had a Hawaiian themed birthday party. Here it is 4 years later and she is now turning 5! I cannot believe that my baby girl is going to be 5 years old already! Time has flown by and it makes me feel sad to think how she is growing up so fast. But, I am looking forward to watching her grow even more into her beautiful self. She is a love! She loves art, her friends, kitty cats, Barbie, and anything Princess! Her favorite princess for years has been Jasmine. Princess Jasmine will be coming to her birthday this year to celebrate with us!
Looking at this picture reminds me to treasure everyday with my little ones, even the days that are not so easy, because before you know it, so much time has passed and they are all grown up! I love you Ellie!

Enjoying Summer While it Lasts!

I have never blogged before, but was inspired to try it by my two dear friends, Illyse and Christine! I went back to work for my job share as a teacher in second grade this week. I just went in for a couple of days, but it was really stressful! My teaching partner and I split the trimester, so I work 6 weeks full time and then have 10 weeks off of work. Going in for just a few days, made me realize that I am in for a stressful school year with a new principal, so I better enjoy all that is left of my summer. I went scrapbooking last night with my friends. I didn't get much done, but I got out of the house and saw my friends, which always makes my heart happy!! Then today I took the my kiddos to Lake Mission Viejo with my friend Jenna and her two kids. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun! Well, my adorable baby boy (3 1/2 years) just came in and is kissing me and saying he loves me, so much more important things are at hand, cuddling, reading, and praying with my children before bed. I will see how I like this blogging business. Goodnight!
